One day of showers, storms to dodge this weekend
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With the bustling holiday season over, people have a fresh opportunity to evaluate their financial health.
Tom Neumann, a financial advisor with Drake & Associates, joined us on Tuesday, April 9 to discuss the importance of spring as an ideal time to review and refresh financial strategies.
He recommended starting by reassessing financial goals, suggesting that revisiting long-term objectives can guide the setting of manageable monthly savings targets. He also suggested dusting off financial plans by checking on the progress of monetary goals.
Neumann also suggested reviewing all incoming and outgoing funds, including fixed expenses like utilities and discretionary spending, and even negotiating bills where possible and decluttering financial documents.
In true spring cleaning fashion, he also suggested shredding any paperwork that contains sensitive personal information to prevent identity theft.
