Milwaukee County's COVID-19 masking guidelines weakened

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Centers for Disease Control officially lowered Milwaukee County's COVID-19 community risk level to "low" in a release on Thursday, Sept. 30.

According to the release, public health experts consulted with the CDC to decide that making is no longer required at the Courthouse Complex for employees, contractors or volunteers.

The Milwaukee County Transit System is also no longer requiring masks for bus passengers or operators.

High-risk locations will continue to carry mask requirements, including Milwaukee County Jail, Juvenile Detention Center and Behavioral Health Clinical Settings.
