Milwaukee County Zoo launching animals body exhibit

The Milwaukee County Zoo has a new exhibit starting this summer called BODY WORLDS: ANIMAL INSIDE OUT. The exhibit shows 100 specimens on display which were all preserved through the Plastination process, which the same as the human version of the BODY WORLDS exhibit. The preservation allows the exhibit to show the inner workings of animals including their skeleton foundations, muscles, soft tissues and nervous systems.

No animal was harmed or killed for the exhibit.

The exhibit starts May 6 and runs through September 4 in the Zoo's Otto Borchert Family Special Exhibits Building.

The Milwaukee County Zoo is the first zoo in North America to host this exhibit from the BODY WORLDS creator, Dr. Gunther von Hagens and his wife, Dr. Angelina Whalley.
