Milwaukee County Zoo hosts Zoo Year's Eve celebrations on Sunday

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- There are many ways for adults to celebrate New Year's Eve, but what about for our little ones?

Thankfully, the Milwaukee County Zoo has people of all ages covered with its Wild Lights 2023 special event!

On Sunday, Dec. 31, children and their families are invited to the zoo for what officials have dubbed "Zoo Year's Eve."

"Wild Lights offers a unique and glittery experience for all! It’s the most wonderful time of the year to stroll along a 1-mile path glowing with animal-themed light displays and hundreds of thousands of shimmering lights," a release said.

Zoo Year's Eve opens at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

If you haven't bought tickets yet, there are several ways to do so.

If you're buying in person, the admission gates close at 8:15 p.m. Adult tickets cost $20 dollars each and children ages three to 12 are $18 dollars each. Children ages two and under are free. 

If you want to buy online here, adult tickets are $18 dollars each and children ages three to 12 are $16 dollars each. Children ages two and under are free.

All online tickets include parking. 

The zoo is also offering multiple online ticket packages which include a "date night for two" for $30 dollars and a "family of four" pack for $60 dollars.
