Call for Action was made against domestic violence on Wednesday by a Milwaukee County Supervisor.
"I’d just like for people to know that there is no color, there's no socio-economic demographic to this. And that it is hard for a woman who's going through domestic violence to just leave,” said Sequanna Taylor.
Sequanna Taylor said her new initiative called "Keep us Safe" is designed to raise awareness about a domestic violence.
Domestic violence was linked to the deaths of 58-women, men and children in Wisconsin last year. Taylor will introduce a resolution calling on the county board to recognize October as domestic violence awareness month.
