MCSO asks drivers to avoid highways due to icy conditions
MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is asking drivers to stay off the highway due to extremely icy conditions on the roadways Saturday morning, Jan. 11.
The two left lanes of I-41 northbound near Mayfair Road closed due to a crash around 5:15 a.m. The scene was cleared hours later, around 10:30 a.m.
Drivers were diverted off I-43 at Good Hope Road for a semi crash that shut down all northbound 8 a.m. All lanes reopened shortly after 11 a.m.
MCSO is reporting all lanes have reopened on I-43 northbound at Good Hope. The roads and highways remain extremely icy and hazardous.

Authorities reported an overturned semi in the Zoo Interchange from the west to the south and multiple ramps closed due to the dangerous roads Saturday morning.
MCSO is reporting a complete freeway closure on I-43 northbound due to a semi crash, caused by extremely icy and hazardous road conditions. All traffic is being diverted off the highway at Good Hope.

The MCSO asks drivers to slow down or move over and expect delays.
