Milwaukee County Parks Offering Free Golf for Youths 17 and Under

To encourage youths age 17 and under to golf, Milwaukee County Parks is offering free golf green fees through two new programs this summer.

On the second Monday of the summer months, beginning June 13, youths accompanied by a paid adult receive free green fees at courses at Hansen located at 9800 W. Underwood Creek Parkway in Wauwatosa, and Warnimont located at 5400 S. Lake Drive in Cudahy.

These 18-hole courses, at less than 2,800 yards, are ideal for beginning golfers and experienced golfers working on their short game. Rental clubs are available.

The program is repeated July 11 and August 8. Tee times can be made up to two weeks in advance through a phone reservation at (414) 475-6222 or online at milwaukeecountygolfcourses.com.

On the third Tuesday of the summer months, beginning June 21, youths play Par 3 courses for free. The courses are Doyne located at 5300 W. Wells St., Lake located at 3233 E. Kenwood Blvd., Madison located at 9800 W. Glendale Ave., Noyes located at 8235 W. Good Hope Rd., and Zablocki, 3717 W. Howard Ave.

Rental clubs are available. The program is repeated July 19 and Aug. 16. Play is on a first-come, first-served basis.
