Another soaking rain possible this week
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Even though December has just begun, that isn't stopping city leaders from looking ahead to next summer, which will bring the fourth year of the "Camp RISE" program in Milwaukee.
Roughly 400 Milwaukee Public Schools students, aged 10-13, will take part in the six-week program that focuses on leadership training, money management, and general engagement with the Milwaukee community.
"Camp RISE opens the doors of possibilities, and when young people get access to those opportunities, when they get the chance to partake in things like this, it makes them yearn for more chances to do exactly that," said Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson.
