Milwaukee County Courthouse Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat

Milwaukee Police received an online message regarding a bomb near a downtown courthouse, on Friday, October 9 at about 3:20 PM.

The message was from an anonymous source and did not list any specific information or specific court location. As a precaution the Federal Courthouse and Milwaukee County Courthouse officials were notified.

Numerous employees left the Courthouse and received a return to work text message from the Office of Emergency Management.

Milwaukee Police conducted a check of the Municipal Courthouse and found nothing suspicious. Other agencies checked the courthouses with which they are affiliated.

Milwaukee Police are attempting to trace the source of the online message.
