We trade a white Christmas for a warmer one, but cold air awaits
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- To close out Black History Month, Milwaukee city officials hosted a networking event Tuesday night.
This was the second annual Black History Month Power Hour.
The free event was held at City Hall rotunda with city leaders and Common Council colleagues in attendance.
One organizer, Alderman Mark Chambers, says this is an opportunity for young professionals to make connections and build community-strengthening relationships.
"We have a number of positive connections that people may not know what is going on in the community. We have people actually getting jobs here from just attending these events here within the first year," said Ald. Chambers.
Ald. Chambers says these events are hosted every few months, with one in May, September, and December of this year.
