Milwaukee Bucks visit local veterans

They're the ones with the fame and the jerseys, but the Milwaukee Bucks basketball team reminded us who the real heroes are Monday with a visit to the Zablocki V.A. Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Head Coach Jason Kidd, forwards  Jabari Parker and Larry Sanders, among others, hung out with the veterans, played games, posed for pictures and served up some icre cream sundaes.

\"Every time we go out, we say we go to war with another team,\" Sanders told CBS 58 News. \" But these guys really have been to war and been to battle to defend us. It's just amazing being around them and being able to give back to them a little bit. They are a huge inspiration.\"

Today's visit was part of the NBA Cares \"Hoops for Troops\" week.

Player will wear special apparel to commemorate  the Veteran's Day holiday.
