MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With a brand new arena, the Milwaukee Bucks will be rebranding their dancers.
Fans can expect to see new uniforms and family-friendly choreography.
"You can still be sexy wearing athletic apparel," said Bucks consultant Petra Pope.
The more athletic ensembles that cover more stomach and cleavage than before. will debut at the new Bucks arena.
"I come from the belief of not needing to show everything," said Pope.
The team has hired on New York-based Petra Pope as creative director to make some major changes as the arena opens.
"Every time you start something new and grand as a brand new arena, you start to rethink everything and what can we do bigger and better and grander, and just rethinking what's been done in the past and making it better," Pope said.
While the new arena helped with the timing of the change, Pope says the Bucks are also keeping up with the times.
"It's definitely to make things family friendly. I think it's important to speak to everyone," said Pope.
Pope says similar changes with the Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets have proved successful.
