Milwaukee Bucks Bowl with Special Olympics

The Special Olympics teamed up with the Milwaukee Bucks for a celebrity bowling event in Glendale. The event pairs familiar faces from the Bucks with athletes from Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Point guard Michael Carter-Williams led "Bowling with the Bucks" at Pinstrikes near Bayshore Town Center. The event raises money through lane partnerships and on-site auctions.

Some of the athletes were star struck with their partners including Special Olympics Bowler Patrick Lynch, “it's really awesome that they are supporting us. I'm so happy for what they are doing in the organization. They do so much for their community in Milwaukee."

Michael Carter-Williams said, “it's very important to give back to the community. Give back to Special Olympics and interact with them, show appreciation for what they do because when I play I get so much love from the crowd and a lot of people. It's important to get recognition for what they're doing."

MCW also regularly brings Special Olympics athletes and their families to bucks games.

Preliminary numbers from event organizers say the bowling brought in $10,000.
