WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are heading to the National League Championship Series and fans in the Milwaukee area are excited.
Fans at Camp Bar Tosa had their eyes glued to the screen and once the Milwaukee Brewers swept the Colorado Rockies in the NLDS, the crowd jumped out of their seats and the champagne started flowing. It's a moment fans have been waiting for.
"We're excited for the team," a Milwaukee Brewers fan said. "We're excited for the city."
Energetic fans are ready to see the Brew Crew take home the National League Championship Series too.
“This is a once in a life time opportunity right here. This is what we live for. Milwaukee's a sports town, Milwaukee's ready to rip!” another Milwaukee Brewers fan said.
It has been a historic day for Wisconsin sports overall as the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers all played on Sunday.
“Milwaukee has the best fans in the universe, Bucks, Packers, Brewers, but this is fantastic, we’re so excited,” another Brewers fan said.
