MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- "Summerfest is very important. It's one of the biggest reasons why I came down to this neighborhood 30-some years ago."
Jerry Steny is just one of the many restaurant and bar owners who are looking forward to a boost in business when Summerfest starts Thursday.
Steny's Tavery and Grill is a short walk from the Summerfest grounds and the potential for late night business from music fans has him adjusting his hours.
"Usually, our kitchen is open 'til 11 o'clock. Now, we're gonna be open 'til 1 o'clock because usually everybody comes back about 11-12 o'clock and keep our kitchen open so people can have something to eat before they head home," Steny said.
Summerfest runs for three consecutive weekends, Thursdays through Saturdays, starting on June 22.
And if you can't find what you want to eat at Maier Festival Park, there are Third Ward and Walker's Point establishments that will be happy to serve you.
