PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Foxconn project will bring thousands of jobs to the area but it will also create new opportunities for local businesses.
Waukesha County Technical College hosted an information session for contractors interested in bidding on work for the first phase of building the massive campus.
The project's general contractor says there's been a lot of people interested in getting involved.
"Everyone wants to be part of the catalytic project that's going to move not only Wisconsin forward, but our country forward, so the energy has been extraordinary," said Gilbane Building Company Senior Vice President Adam Jelen.
Thursday's information session is one of 12 being held across the state.
