MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Molsen Coors is once again teaming up with the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) to provide everyone a safe ride home on New Year's Eve.
Not all New Year's Eve parties are happening as planned this year, but the Miller Lite Free Rides program will.
"We're buying your ride tonight, said Tami Garrison, the community affairs officer for Molsen Coors.
If you plan to have a drink, leave your car keys and bus card at home. MCTS will drop you off and pick you up, and Miller Lite is paying the fare.
"New Year's Eve is a really special occasion and people celebrate in a lot of different ways," said Garrison. "What we want to remind you to do is to celebrate responsibly."
That means planning ahead before you go out, especially knowing how you'll get around.
The Miller Lite Free Rides program starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31 and runs until 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan 1.
Since the program started in Milwaukee in 1988, it's given 500,000 people a safe ride home on New Year's Eve.
There's no limit to the amount of rides a passenger can take on New Year's Eve.
