(MILWAUKEE) – This month marks the 78th anniversary of Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor, a deadly and devastating day that thrust the United States into World War Two. In the six months that followed, U.S. forces at sea turned the tide of the war in one of the greatest military comeback stories in history.
And it was thanks in part to a Milwaukee man who fought valiantly and died a hero. His story is now portrayed in the new film 'Midway'.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Pauleen Le sat down with that hero's nephew to learn more about his bravery during the raid on the Marshall Islands and the Battle of Midway.
