Milwaukee remodeler shares tips on designing homes for real life ahead of NARI Tour of Homes

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Matthew Jahns, owner of Refined & Co. and a remodeling industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, joined us on Friday, May 1 to discuss how to approach a remodel that balances aesthetics with everyday practicality.

Jahns covered what families typically need from a remodel, designing for pets, work-from-home setups and intergenerational living, as well as common misconceptions homeowners have going into a project.

One of his projects will be featured on the NARI Milwaukee Tour of Homes on May 16 and 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, at locations throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha County.
