MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design will host its annual Holiday Sale, featuring works by students and alumni. The event will run from Thursday, Dec. 5 to Saturday, Dec. 7 at MIAD’s academic building in the Historic Third Ward.
Tracy Milkowski, MIAD’s Vice President for Institutional Advancement, discussed the event when she joined us on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
She talked about the variety of items available, including prints, jewelry, fiber art and more. Seventy percent of proceeds support participating artists, while 30% benefits MIAD scholarships.
Milkowski also shared updates on graduates achieving success, such as Morgan Tillisch, who published a children’s book, and Emma May Travitz, who joined Nike.
