MFD responding to apartment fire, 1 person taken to the hospital

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One person was taken to the hospital following an apartment fire in Milwaukee Monday morning, July 12.
It happened near 38th and Good Hope Road.
According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, police were initially called about a person trying to start a fire in the building.
The Red Cross is assisting 11 people who lived in the building.
No firefighters were injured.
The Milwaukee Police Department and Milwaukee Fire Department are investigating the cause of the fire.
