Merton Community School Board approves installation of solar panels

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Merton community school district in Waukesha County is taking another step in investing in solar power.
According to the superintendent, the school board approved funding to install rooftop solar panels at both the district's schools starting this fall.
The district expects to save more than $70,000 in annual energy costs over the next ten years.
Installation of the panels is scheduled to be done by the end of October or early November.
