Mequon police identify man they believe impersonated an officer

MEQUON -- Mequon police have identified the man they arrested for flashing a fake badge at two girls and asking them personal questions as they walked to a park.

On March 10th, 19-year-old Loren Willis of West Bend allegedly stopped his vehicle next to two girls aged 10 and 11 as they walked to a Mequon park. The girls told police Willis began asking them questions about their age and what school they attended.

Both girls say Willis drove around the park they walked to, and questioned them a second time before leaving. According to police the 19-year-old suspect admitted to having contact with the two girls.

Willis is charged with Impersonating a Peace Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Carry Concealed Weapon, Possession of THC, and three counts of Possess Drug Paraphernalia. Willis was also cited with underage possession of alcohol by Mequon police.
