Mequon Police Department Holds Holiday Gift Wrapping Fundraiser
A local law enforcement agency needs a helping hand with holiday gift wrapping.
The Mequon Police Department is having its first ever holiday gift wrap fundraiser on Saturday.
All the proceeds will go to Advocates of Ozaukee, a non-profit group helping victims of domestic or sexual abuse.
Dispatcher Joel Miksch is spearheading the event and is happy to lend his expertise for a good cause.
“People use too much paper. Measure twice, cut once. Spend the extra nickel on quality paper that won't crease or look silly out of the shoot. Tape is your friend. Have to have a bow. Garnish," says Miksch.
The fundraiser runs from 11 AM to 5 PM on Saturday. It will be held at the Mequon Safety Building in the lower level meeting room.
Several wrapping options will be available.
