Menomonie Police looking for suspect involved in tire, rim thefts

MENOMONIE, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Menomonie Police Department is looking for more information after receiving complaints of tire and rim thefts from two car dealerships.

Authorities say one set of rims and tires were taken from a car in the Keyes Chevytown lot. The rims are a special design and are only an option on the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 100th Anniversary Truck. They have painted gray rim with chrome inserts. Another 2018 Chevy Silverado in the lot was untouched.

The second complaint was from Johnson Motors where tires and rims were stolen from three GMC pickup trucks. Police say one truck sustained further damage to the brake rotors. Old tires and Chevy center caps were left behind leading authorities to believe the suspect drives a Chevy.
