Menomonee Falls Police Respond to Two Stolen Cars and Give Chase at Same time

On January 2 at approximately 10:30 PM the Menomonee Falls Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle theft in the 8400 block of Lynwood Drive. Officers in the area observed the vehicle and pursued it to the intersection of Menomonee Avenue and Town Line Road where the vehicle left the roadway and became stuck in a snow bank.

The passenger was taken into custody immediately and the driver fled on foot. A perimeter of the area was set up and with the assistance of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and the New Berlin Police Department Canine Officers, the driver was apprehended in the 8800 block of Lannon Road.

During the investigation, an additional vehicle theft was reported in the 8500 block of Sheridan Drive. Several suspects in another vehicle were stopped and taken into custody regarding these thefts.

Detectives from the Menomonee Falls Police Department are continuing to investigate this incident.
