MILWAUKEE,WI (CBS 58) -- Monday, May 27 is Memorial Day.    Here is a partial list of events, ceremonies and Memorial Day parades in the Milwaukee area.

  • Milwaukee VA Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at Wood National Cemetery, 5000 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee.   There will be music from the Milwaukee American Legion Band begins at 9:10 AM.   The ceremony begins at 9:25 AM.   Spearker include Governor Tony Evers, Congresswoman Gwen Moore and Brian Dennis of  the Fisher House Wisconsin.
  • Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 West Capitol Drive, Wauwatosa, will hold its annual Memorial Day Program at 9:45 AM.
  • Sons of Union Veterans  of the Civil War and Auxiliary will hold an  Outdoor Mass, 10 AM at Milwaukee’s Historic  Calvary Cemetery, 5503 W. Bluemound Road, Milwaukee.
  • The annual Kids on Bikes Parade rolls off from the Elm Grove Village Park at 9:45 AM followed by 72nd Annual Elm Grove Memorial Day Parade at 10:30 AM.
  • The 2019 New Berlin Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 11 AM at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 14875 W. Greenfield Avenue, New Berlin.
  • The Vietnam Moving Wall Closing Ceremony with Brigadier General Ernest Latynski, US Army Reserve will begin at 11 AM, Kunkel Park 5151 W Layton Ave, Greenfield.   Tours of the Wall will be closed at 4 PM.
  • Waukesha Parade, 9 a.m. Monday
  • 154th Milwaukee Memorial Day Parade, 2 p.m. The parade starts at 4th and Wisconsin and ends at the War Memorial Center in Veterans Park
  • West Allis Memorial Day Parade and Service. Parade at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m. at Veterans' Memorial Park
