McWhorter's 17 points lead UWM past UM-Kansas City

Steve McWhorter scored 17, one of three UW-Milwaukee players in double figures, as the Panthers beat UM-Kansas City 65-56 Wednesday night at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
McWhorter started slowly, but scored 15 points after halftime to lead the Panthers (4-4). Included in the second half surge was a stretch where McWhorter scored nine points in a 16-4 Panthers run. Matt Tiby added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
