MCSO hosting hiring event for correctional officers June 8; pay starting at $21 an hour

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Due to staffing shortages, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is hosting a day-long hiring event on Wednesday, June 8. 

The hiring event takes place at the Zoofari Conference Center on Bluemound Road -- located at 9715 West Bluemound Road -- from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. 

The starting salary range for correctional officers is $21.01-$24.01. 

Interested candidates will be able to fill out an application on-site and interview on the spot. Background checks will be performed at the event and if interested applicants come back "clean," they will receive a job offer on the spot. 

The minimum age to apply is 18, and you must have a high school diploma or GED.
