MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett's ongoing "100 Miles in 100 Days" challenge included a collaboration with a group celebrating different neighborhoods.
He joined members of NEWaukee which holds monthly walking tours that include networking opportunities with entrepreneurs and community organizers.
Wednesday's destination was Jackson Park on Milwaukee's south side.
"Everybody loves to take a walk, and if you take a walk in a relaxed setting, I think people are happiest when they're doing something like that," Barrett said. "Then you get the health benefit, you get the community benefit, and it's just a great way to see the city."
NEWaukee also hosts monthly night markets along W. Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee.
