A tradition this time of year in Milwaukee, when key role players in public safety try to set the tone for the summer ahead.
They've declared the month of May "Violence Prevention Month" in hopes to promote peace.
It comes just before Milwaukee's Ceasefire Sabbath that will kick off next Wednesday with Mayor Tom Barrett.
Today's event was organized in part by the "Peace for Change Alliance," a non-profit aimed at offering inspiration for young people to make positive choices.
