MATC hosting community session to discuss paths to tuition-free education

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Area Technical College is set to offer a Community Pop Up session aimed at helping individuals learn how they can attend MATC tuition-free and learn about other educational opportunities.

The session is expected to significantly help students by informing them of the various scholarships available for the Fall 2023 semester.

MATC will host the event on Thursday, June 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the St. Ann Center, Bucyrus Campus, located at 2450 W. North Ave. The event is intended for individuals of all ages who are considering pursuing a degree, certificate or further education.

In previous instances, scholarships like the MATC Ellen and Joe Checota MATC Scholarship Program and the MATC Promise have enabled hundreds of students to save thousands of dollars in tuition fees. The Pop Up session will feature MATC students and alumni who will share their experiences and explain how free tuition opportunities have aided them in focusing on studies and career goals.

The event will also provide free food and refreshments. Interested parties are encouraged to RSVP through by clicking here.
