Isolated storms continue this evening
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Marquette University's music department will be on full display for its free holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 5. The chorus, orchestra, jazz ensemble and many more will be performing in the same space for the first time since the pandemic.
"We're really just celebrating the fact that we can be back doing that, and that we can [perform] with a live audience, with people in the seats, is really special for us." Dr. Erik Janners, Marquette University's music director, says.
Janners says all the holidays classics will be played to put everyone in a festive mood.
The concert starts at 2 p.m. in Marquette's Varsity Theater, and you're asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate. The music department is collecting items for local shelters.
