Marquette University police seek suspects in armed robbery near 19th and Clybourn

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Marquette University police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday, July 28.

Officials say it happened near 19th and Clybourn around 7:50 a.m.

According to university police, one suspect entered an unsecured work vehicle. The victims returned to the vehicle and found the suspect going through the contents of the trunk.

A second suspect approached, and after some pushing and shoving, lifted his shirt to reveal a weapon in his waistband. Police say after threatening the victims, the two suspects were joined by a third suspect. The three fled with stolen property in an unknown vehicle.

Suspect 1 is described as a Black male in his early 20's, standing 5'8" tall with short braids. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and red sweatpants.

Suspect 2 is described as a Black male in his early 20's, standing 5'11" with long braids. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

Suspect 3 is described as a Black male in his early 20's, standing 5'8" tall and wearing a white, sleeveless shirt.
