Marquette University announced one of their students has been seriously injured while studying overseas. Jennifer Waters, a junior in the College of Business Administration, was hit by a car while in Madrid, Spain Sunday night. The University says Waters was grazed by a car, causing her to fall and hit her head. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, with serious injuries. Marquette confirms to CBS 58 that Jennifer's immediate family flew to Madrid Monday to be with her. Marquette says they are providing the Waters family with whatever they need in Spain, and are offering counseling both here and abroad to students who were close friends with Jennifer.
A mass was offered Monday night at the Joan of Arc chapel for Jennifer's healing.
