Marquette gears up for NIT matchup against Oregon

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Marquette University men’s basketball team (20-13, 9-9 BIG EAST) continues play in the NIT after defeating Harvard and will play Oregon (23-12, 10-8 Pac 12) in the second round on Sunday, March 18 at 3:30 p.m. in the Al McGuire Center.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Marquette, which is making its 49th all-time postseason trip and 16th in the NIT, is among the nation’s top programs in terms of championship appearances.

Marquette and Oregon have only played each other once way back in 1928 at Marquette Gym when Marquette won 16-15.
