MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After 65 years in business, a popular pizzeria on Milwaukee's southwest side may have served its last time.
Dozens of people stood outside Maria's Pizza to get what might be their last pizza from the local restaurant -- at least for a while.
The owner has indicated this closing may be temporary -- as the family is in talks with a potential buyer.
CBS 58 spoke to some customers who say Maria's will be missed.
"I've been coming here for 30 years. So it hurts. You got to know the whole family. You don't have to be here that long. No one's got a pizza like this," said one customer.
There were so many customers who showed up at Maria's that they ran out of pizza around 6:00 p.m. this evening, on June 26 -- that is two hours ahead of its closing time.
