WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) – A man is critically hurt after trying to jump from one roof to another in West Allis late Wednesday night.
According to the West Allis Police Department, officers were investigating a prowling incident near 78th and Rogers St.
The investigation led authorities to believe a possible person of interest was in a home near 77th and Hicks. When police tried to make contact with the man, they say a person exited the second story of the home and made his way onto the roof. Police say they tried to talk to the man from the ground but he attempted to jump from the roof to the roof of a neighboring home. The man fell to the ground and was critically hurt. He was taken to the hospital where he is being treated.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation. West Allis Police were assisted by the Milwaukee and Wauwatosa Police Departments.
