MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The man charged with killing a nurse practitioner at Froedtert Hospital has been found incompetent by a doctor.
In February, Kenneth Freeman had an outburst in court that resulted in him being stunned by a deputy.
In court on Tuesday, Freeman remained calm. The judge said the doctor’s note found Freeman incompetent. Immediately after, the judge recused herself from the case for an unknown reason.
Freeman then appeared for a hearing with another judge. The defense and state both agreed on the entirety of the doctor’s report.
The judge then ordered Freeman to be sent to a state mental facility to be treated.
He is expected back in court on June 4.
