Man arrested for sixth OWI while out on bail for fifth OWI, other charges

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) – A 55-year-old West Bend man is arrested for driving drunk for the sixth time while out on bail for his fifth offense OWI, according to police.

West Bend Police say they received a tip from someone who said they saw a man driving a car with an open container of alcohol at University Mobil in the 2300 block of West Washington Street around 1:40 p.m. on September 13.

Officers say when they talked to the driver, they noticed signs of intoxication. The driver later failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI sixth offense. He was also charged with bail jumping because he had criminal cases of OWI fifth offense, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping pending in Washington County Circuit Court.
