Man Arrested for OWI After Crashing Into a Mount Pleasant Police Squad Car

MOUNT PLEASANT - A 58-year-old man has been arrested for an OWI after crashing his pickup into an on-duty Mount Pleasant Police Officer's squad car.
The officer was operating an unmarked squad car on Durand Ave around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The pickup truck failed to stop for the flashing red traffic light heading north on Taylor. It continued into the intersection where it struck the Mount Pleasant squad car.
The northbound pickup truck was being driven by Adan Calderon Alfaro.
The Racine Police Department was called to assist and arrested Alfaro for Operating While Intoxicated.
There were no injuries as a result of this accident.
