Man arrested for driving drunk with children in the car and being armed while intoxicated

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) – A father from Jackson is arrested after West Bend Police say he was driving drunk with his children in the car with him.

Investigators say they received a call about someone driving erratically in the 1500 block of W. Paradise Drive in West Bend. Officers found the suspect vehicle and stopped the driver in a nearby Wal-Mart parking lot. The driver, a 32-year-old man had his 4-year-old and 7-year-old children in the car with him, according to police.

Officer say the man was also armed with a handgun when he was stopped. He did have a concealed carry permit. Police say the man showed signs of being intoxicated and tested at .11 after a breathalyzer test.

He was arrested for OWI with minor children as passengers and going armed while intoxicated.
