Man Arrested after Posting to Facebook Videos of Drug Use, Large Sums of Money, and a Gun

(CHANNEL 8000) A Lacrosse man who was arrested again on drug charges after posting videos to Facebook of drug use and a handgun.

The La Crosse Police Emergency Response Team executed search warrants on the 1100 block of South 4th Street Tuesday evening and arrested Albert Williams III after receiving video of him with what appeared to illegal activity.

On Monday police located Facebook videos showing an individual they recognized as Williams with what appeared to be drugs, large sums of money and a hand gun. Additionally, confidential informants provided accounts that Williams was dealing drugs in the area of 4th and Jackson Streets.

Through additional internet investigation a video from a real estate website showed video of the inside of the home which matched the Facebook video. The comparison of the two videos enabled the investigators to pin down the search warrant location.

A search of the home discovered a large quantity of pistol ammunition and a stolen hand gun underneath the bathroom sink.

Williams was charged with Possession of a  Firearm as a Felon, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Narcotic Drugs and Felony Bail Jumping.

Williams was also the focus of a police drug investigation in February during which he had sold heroin from his apartment to a confidential informant. A search warrant in that case found heroin and four handguns.

Williams was out on felony bond when he was arrested Tuesday.
