MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some testy exchanges in court Monday, June 7, at a hearing for the man charged with an acid attack in 2019.
Clifton Blackwell appeared without an attorney Monday.
He's accused of throwing acid at another man. A criminal complaint says the attack followed an argument during which Blackwell was called a racist.
Blackwell made motions on Monday, looking for data related to the case, and when he made a comment about how long it was taking, the judge had this response: "Well this is getting strung out partially because of you being unable to obtain counsel as well. I would have liked to have the case tried by now, frankly."
Another motion hearing was scheduled for Blackwell on July 15.
