Madison's annual Halloween celebration Freakfest canceled

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Madison's annual Halloween Celebration, Freakfest, is officially canceled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Madison Police Department made the announcement Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Freakfest is typically held on State Street and gives people the chance to walk around while listening to different live bands throughout the night.
The police department says due to Covid-1, events like Freakfest and other fall gatherings must be reduced.
