Madison Police Find Sushi in Man's Pants

A 20-year-old was arrested for stealing sushi from Fresh Market by the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The man had been spotted on a surveillance camera stuffing bags of candy in his shirt and plastic boxes of food down his pants.

Once he was detained, containers of food popped open as evidence spilled out inside his trousers.

The suspect asked Madison Police to take the sushi out of his pants once he was arrested.

The officer wrote in his report, "Only then did I realize he had a plastic carryout tray of sushi and condiments stashed in his waistband."

A second tray was, also, recovered from the suspect’s briefs.

According to the release, sushi spilled all over the sidewalk.

Store managers said they had observed the man concealing both trays in his pants.
