Lucroy sets modern MLB record in 2-1 Brewers win

MILWAUKEE - The Brewers aren't headed to MLB's postseason, but they gave the fans a couple of memorable moments in Saturday night's 2-1 victory over the Cubs at Miller Park.

Jonathan Lucroy knocked in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning with a double, Lucroy's 46th this season as a catcher, setting a modern-day record. The double was Lucroy's 53rd overall this season, tying a franchise record. 7 of Lucroy's doubles came while playing a position other than catcher.

Wily Peralta struck out a career high 13 batters and Carlos Gomez bombed a home run in the third inning, deep to left-center field and nearly landing at the Harleys.

The Brewers wrap up their season Sunday at 1:10PM.
