RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Love is in the air at the Racine Zoo this February, with hopes that you will take the person you’re wildly in love with to Animal Amore on Friday, Feb. 14.
You can bring your mate, learn about how animals mate and eat a banquet dinner among the animals.
“It’s an open bar for that particular event, and then you get to hang out with the animals that are inside our castle, which is everything from lions to our orangutans to Missy, our new sloth,” said Beth Heidorn, the Racine Zoo executive director.
If you can’t make it out on Valentine’s Day, the zoo has SnowGlobe dining experiences for the whole family through Feb. 23.
“We have new themes this year,” said Heidorn. “Friday night, we have cocktail hour. Saturday, we have our basic winter picnics, and Sunday we have fun family game night, and you get pizzas.”
While the Racine Zoo has plenty of winter events to keep people busy during the off months, they’re already starting to announce summer events.
Kids’ holiday, spring and summer camps are open for registration now.
