Louise Hunter, Wisconsin homeless advocate and mother of 21 children, passes away

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Louise "Mother" Hunter, a longtime Wisconsin homeless advocate, passed away Saturday, Feb. 29. She was 85 years old. 

Hunter opened The Love and Charity Homeless in Racine, and was known for doing a great deal of humanitarian work in the Racine and Milwaukee communities, helping the less fortunate in the state. 

Hunter is the mother 21 children, 63 grandchildren and 87 great-children.

"Love and Charity: The Life and Story of Louise Hunter and The Love and Charity Homeless Shelter" is a book about Hunter, written by James Woods -- and it's been adapted into a screenplay. 

Monday, Mar. 7, Hunter's family is expected to release details on her funeral.
