Longwell and Tauscher elected to Packers' Hall of Fame
On Saturday, the Packers enshrined former kicker Ryan Longwell and former offensive lineman Mark Tauscher into their hall of fame.
Longwell played for the Packers for nine seasons, recording 1,054 career points. Longwell holds the Packer record for the most consecutive games with a point with 144 games from 1997-2005.
Tauscher played with the Packers for 11 seasons. He was part of the offensive line that in 2004 only allowed 14 sacks, which is a franchise record. Getting elected into the Packers' Hall of Fame is even more special for Tauscher having grown up in Wisconsin.
“When you can play for the team you have rooted for and the way the system played, the part that’s really cool is your family and friends, everyone can really stay up to date on it,” Tauscher said. “When you really appreciate something and you can go through it, that stays with you.”
